    There were many highlights of my recent California tour, but I think I am like many people in that these tall trees have a particular fascination. The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is towards the South entry to Yosemite National Park (highway 41) and situated fairly close to the Historic Wawona Hotel.     We recently spent two nights at the Black Bear Inn, at South Lake Tahoe, CA.     I booked online via the company's own website. Both my husband and I are familiar with the Embassy Suites brand, having both used them for business trips (separately) to the USA in the past. For those who do not know, however, Embassy Suites is part of the Hilton chain.
