I stayed at the Mill House recently and was simultaneously impressed and depressed by what I found. First Impressions When you arrive at Dunchurch Park, in the village of Dunchurch just a couple of miles south of Rugby, you can't help but think you might just be in for a treat. Why Tortworth? What appealed about the hotel was the building, a massive grey stately home-style place, the location, just off the M5 Junction 14 and finally, the price. Charles Rennie Mackintosh is a name so deeply and intrinsically linked with Scottish art and architecture that its not surprising to find he was only ever involved in the design of one building south of the border.
