The size of the entrance room and suites were huge with fireplaces and a rustic feel that would be difficult to replicate. The room we stayed in was not immaculate but the hotel is pet friendly so it is to be expected to a small degree.
Accommodation and food was expensive but worth every penny. The hotel is situated in a perfect spot for a grand view and a nice walk along the river.
I would say this hotel is suited for a group of people, family or older people.

The general amenities were sufficient and the condition definitely good for a building of its own sheer size. The front desk was not immediately obvious to find but the staff were friendly and helped us with our enquires as we needed more supplies for the room!

The location of the hotel is a rare sight to see among Dartmoors rolling hills and Holne Chase is definitely the perfect place to go if you want a quiet stay.
