[JoeSun, 30/01/2010] This hotel situated in the heart of Udon Thani is an "insider tip". In my opinion
it is the best in Udon, especially for that price.
It is only missing one swimming pool, but all the rest is here.
What a rest: !!!!
Extra size bedrooms with best decoration, superb insulation, absolutely no noise from outside.....
My opinion do not come there I want also a room for my next trip!!!
[Valentine41, 30/07/2009] The Retreat is a lovely little hide-away, very different to anything else I've experienced on my travels through Asia, and the value is excellent, we stayed there in February so only required a fan room at 300bt per night, but with that you have full use of all the facilities, Gymnasium, swimming pool, sun-loungers, the room had a well stocked mini-bar with surprisingly low prices (pepsi -40p), the bathrooms are small but very clean and modern, nothing leaks and everything is screwed down properly, the whole place seems very well maintained, it is a little far from the night-life so if your lo

[james63, 18/05/2009] We thoroughly enjoyed our stay: peace and quiet in the countryside, excellent Thai food (with no watering down for the tourists!) and great hospitality. We will definietly recommend this place to friends.
[charlesc, 03/12/2008] A very unusual place hidden away in the northeast, offering a real insight into the true Thailand from a very comfortable and relaxing base. The Thai food was out of this world, and the private pool a definite star!

The house was perfect for us and would suit families, romantics, honeymooners etc. The stay was really made by the couple who looked after us whilst there: very friendly, helpful and informative. A good way to experience Thailand off the beaten track in comfort, and an interesting alternative to a hotel.
