Description:	Partially restored Victorian train station, which is a stop for the North East Metro trains. The station is completely glass covered with a restored bridge joining the platforms. Every Saturday and Sunday, beneath the glass and wrought iron canopy, this becomes the scene for one of the largest craft fairs in Tyneside. Both days feature stalls show casing crafts from some local artists as well as a vast array of bric- a brac, books, cds, and clothes. Every third Saturday of the month there is a farmers' market, with local farmers selling their produce. Opening times for the market are from early morning until stall holders leave.
