The surroundings of Viverde Hotel Loryma: The bay of Turunc is the first open bay outside of the Bay of Marmaris and it is situated on the southern coast of the Bozburun peninsula. Together with the long narrow Datca peninsula both peninsulas pull out into the Aegean Sea. Here, where the Aegean and the southern Mediterranean Sea meet, this unique coast and landscape forms together with the Greek islands of Rhodes and Symi a unique paradise worth to know especially for those who are looking for unspoiled nature - away from mass tourism! The green hinterland is hilly to mountainous. On the occasion of the millennium, the WWF (World Wildlife Fund), launched the action "Gifts to the Earth" and in 2008 the successor project, "Enhancing Forest Protected Areas Management in Turkey", a partnership project of the WWF and UNDP (United Nations Development Project) to draw attention on to the intact forest areas in Europe with exceptionally high biological diversity that are worth to be protected. The Bozburun peninsula is one of Turkey’s as particularly worthy of protection defined nine "hot spots".It is an ideal place for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking and canyoning.
