Rainbow Fun House
At the Rainbow Fun House an indoor play area of 13.000 sq ft is available for children, for grown ups there is a viewing gallery and a cafe on the premises. Torre Abbey was built in 1196 and was a monastery before being turned into a private residence for the more prominent citizens of Torquay. The mansion is now a grade 1 listed building and the museum has an art gallery and exhibits that include English glass, sculptures and antiquities. Torre Abbey is closed until mid 2008 due to major restoration work. The Kent Cavern is a site that was once home to Stone Age people. Entry into the Caverns is by guided tour only and takes about 1 hour, but allow 2 1/2 hours for the full Kent Cavern attraction. Besides the caves there is a woodland trail and for the kids activities that they can try such as an archaeological "dig", face painting and cave painting. Facilities include: visitors center, restaurant, bar, free car park and private functions. The Kents Cavern is open all year except Christmas day and Boxing Day.
