Just seven minutes by ferry from the city of Toronto the author describes this as "a glorious spot " whether you want "to walk, play tennis, bike, feed the ducks, putter around in boats, picnic, or soak up the sun". There are fourteen islands in all but the two main ones she tells us are called "Centre Island and Ward's Island ". The first she describes as being "most popular with tourists" the second is mainly residential.
