I was reluctant to go do the CN Tower but whilst in Toronto... and I was not disappointed. In fact I would recommend it as one of my most memorable experiences in Toronto. There is nothing like a view to give you a flavour of what a city is all about.
The ticket was suprisingly pricey and that was partially because I opted to go to the very top. It is a dilema but my advice would be this, if you are on a tight budget then shove going to the top, not worth it. However, it is fun and worth doing if you have time and the dosh - the very top viewing platform is open air with a cage around you and this adds to the experience.
However, the highlight of the Tornoto CN tower is the Glass Floor, which is just below the main level. It is an experience that mixes horror and pleasure as you look past your feet to the plunging depths below. A fun fact about the Tower is that this whole level used to be all glass, however it freaked everyone out too much (I would have been quaking at the edge) so they just carpeted over all but a 1/4 of it.
Why is it that kids feel the need to jump and down on the glass bits leaving old farts like me distinctly uncomfortable? ;-)
