A range of walks cross this land, some of which lead to a museum dedicated to the history and significance of the forests. The local countryside is known as ‘braña’ and is filled with myths and legends dating back centuries. Many are documented in the local town of Tineo, which still displays many remnants of its long history such as Medieval town walls and towers. Further afield are the rivers of Narcea, Esva, Navia and Eo, famous for their salmon fishing, as well as numerous traditional Asturian villages.

With the Casona de San Andrés we have attempted to build a hotel with country charm transformed into work of art, starting out from the features of an old country farm house with its “panera”and its “antojana”, managed by an Indiano who, in his final journey, left behind as testimony of his emigration, the old trunk with its steamship harbour stamps. The hotel’s natural setting and smallest details have been carefully tended like a fairy tale emerging from the mystery of the rural forest; all this together with a close and friendly attention to guests who we hope will depart from here as good friends longing to return.Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
