The concerts are being held in the 14th century church of the town, Clarance House, which is located opposite site of the church, is the Festival Club. Visitors will be served refreshments at the club before and during the concert evenings.
The original festival was founded by composer Gustav Holt who used to live and work in Thaxted. The modern festival dates back to 1980 and has been held every summer since.
