Description: The almshouses are located in the churchyard of St John the Baptist and if you follow the lane in between them it will lead you directly to the windmill of the village.
There is one thatched building that originally served as accommodation for the priest of the church and was later turned into an almshouse. The other almshouse is located right next to it and features a tiled roof. This building dates back to the early 18th century and stands of the site of a former chantry house.
The almshouses have been used for 160 years and offered accommodation to many elderly villagers in need. In 1975 they have undergone refurbishments and are again in use ever since.
