Built originally as a pasha's palace, today the hotel is "definitely aging" but still shows signs of its "decadent" past. Its public spaces are the hotel's "best feature" - from the "grand" reception to the "large" garden and the "large" pool with it's "ironic" bar that's "designed like a Muslim shrine". However the pool is more suited for "sitting around" than for swimming and the ambiance is "peaceful". Room sizes and standards "vary"; the old rooms on the courtyards "feel, and look, their age" whilst the new rooms are "large and airy" but "bland". There's a second pool near the new rooms [more]
