I am staying frequently in this property, which is one of the older in the city, but was undergoing a big renovation in 2004. Since this time, it is really superb property, but a bit pricey. The hardware it now top notch, but the service could be a bit of a hit and miss. Rooms have “Sweet Sleeper Beds. Expensive, but good.

A lot of natural daylight from a rectangular window with unremarkable views. All rooms have the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds and are nicely decorated with contemporary furniture. Still in good shape and cozy. Marble bathrooms with stand alone shower and separate tub.
High Speed Internet is really high speed.
Executive Lounge is nice and the offerings do not have to hide from those of the competitors (e.g. Hyatt).

The lobby links two towers and is extremely busy, no matter what time of day. Decorated with local artefacts that dot the lobby as well as public spaces. Light colors match the artefacts and the carperts, overall a very nice design and not to compare with the out dated design before the renovation.
Service could be better, a few times the folio was incorrect mixing up rooms from me and my colleague which took "ages" to sort out. Also a few times the car to the airport had to be re-confirmed a few times until they really had it in their system.
Gym is new and modern, full during peak time and one has to change elevators depending on the location of the room.

Food is good but expensive. A good place for a business lunch or dinner and worth the money, but there are very good options elsewhere, too. But the reputation of the Sheraton is still high and your business partner probably will honor it.

Location is close to a bus stop from TPE airport and one subway from main station. Subway stops in front of hotel, so easy access to public transportation but taxies are also not a problem.
Taipei 101 is easy to reach and also the shops close to main station.
