[agumiya, 31/10/2011] I think it was great hotel and the owners was lovely.
they were really friendly and helpful. they send me a home made cake in the evening just because they felt like it. The room was big with a view to the archeological site in the square.
I had a shower in my room but the other rooms didn't, at least those I saw. The price was okay also.
I wasn't really happy with the breakfasts. But that mostly because the main dish was cakes, as far as I know also home made by the owner, and I don't really like cakes in the morning. But that probably show the problem is with me...
I think you should try t

[guest_Agriturismo-La, 20/09/2011] This being our first trip overseas, we are forever grateful we chose Casa Di Melo to be our 1st impression of Sicily. Ciaro & Lawrence are a delightful young couple who are genuine and caring in the running of their splendid agriturismo and organic farm. Morning breakfasts were superb in taste, quanity and variety. The coffee was to die for!! Our room was spacious & welcoming. The grounds and buildings are magnificent in their old world charm with modern day conveniences. There was comfort in waking up or going to sleep to the sounds of their farm. Having the dogs greet us at the gate f

[john_1983, 20/09/2011] Well working air conditioning. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the location could not be beat. Easy walks to everything. The hotel staff were terrific friendly and helpful. They keep everything terrific clean.
[dlfr, 07/09/2011] We stayed at Casa di Melo with our two young children for 10 days in August. The owners are very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are simple, nicely decorated, and clean. The grounds and the swimming pool are beautiful. The breakfast is varied and abundant. The location is ideal for seeing attractions around the southeastern part of Sicily.
[guest_Agriturismo-La, 28/12/2010] We stayed for 7 days at Casa di Milo in November 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were magnificent; we loved the fresh fruit, crepes and great coffee. We could have stayed much longer. We spent time at local beaches, visited nature reserves at Cava Grande, saw flamingoes and other birds at Vendicari, spent time at Noto (and Noto Antica) and Syracusa. Loved the food and wine. Strongly recommend the pizzas at Blume in Cassabila.
Above all, our hosts Lawrence and Chiara, were charming, interesting, helpful and generous. I never normally write reviews but this place deserves o

[ItalyLover188, 21/07/2010] We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and unreservedly recommend it. Our room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet (we had asked for a quiet room). It was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. The proprietors and all the staff were very friendly and most helpful (if we have one very mild criticism, they all spoke such fluent English that it was very difficult for us to practice our Italian!!). Parking was a bit of a problem - but it is a problem everywhere in Siracusa!! However we always managed to find free on street parking close to the hotel and there is a public

[chris_uk, 08/06/2010] We stayed with a friend for a weekend break to see Siracusa in Sicily. All of us are relatively seasoned travellers and we have to say that this hotel is certainly well above average. The service was excellent. Upon arrival we were even shown to our room by one ot the Concierge staffa and were given excellent advice on places to see, dine and shop. They really took the time to work to our preferences and their recommendations were spot on.
[rayvassallo, 24/12/2008] L-Approdo delle Sirene (translates into 'Sirens' berth) is a boutique pension ideally located in historic Ortygia - the insular zone of the Greek pentapolis that is Siracusa. This Sicilian town was once the most populous one on earth. Some of the oldest Greek archaeology is presented in Ortygia itself (the Catholic cathedral with its exquisite Baroque facade, is otherwise housed within the archaic Temple of Athena), and in the archaeological zone at Neapolis.
L-Approdo delle Sirene is run by the affable owner / operator Frederich. The rooms are attractively furnished, the level of cleanlines
