Taronga Zoo has been described as the most picturesque zoo in the world and I certainly would not argue with that. It is situated across the bay from the Sydney Opera house in a location called Mosman and has been its home since it was opened in 1916. They best way to approach the zoo is by ferry from Circular Quay and the crossing takes around 12 minutes other ways are by bus from the city centre or by car.
