From the Courtyard Surin it's only a short walk to the beach of Surin. You just have to cross some open space opposite of the hotel. The hotel comes with nice, clean and well-equipped rooms, the pool could be a bit larger but is nicely done however. The staff is nice and the food is good.

The 1-bedroom suite had around 50sqm and separate living and bed rooms. It was in the ground floor, so came with a terrace from which one could easily walk to the nearby pool. There were flatscreen TVs in both rooms and also a dvd player. The refrigerator was large though empty (could be easily filled with stuff from the local supermarkets or from the small market near the hotel lobby). The bathroom was rather small and had only a shower cubicle. Everything was very clean and in good condition. There were airconditioners in both rooms.

The pool is nice and in landscaped form. It was low season, so not many guests in the hotel and the pool was not crowded. There's a small pool bar nearby and further-on also the restaurant with terraced areas as well as roofed ones. The food was not too expensive and tasty. Also the breakfast buffet was nice with some food on order. The staff at the front desk was nice and check-in was quickly done.

The regular dining menu was a bit limited, but the food was good, especially the pizzas they offer. The service was excellent, both for breakfast and dining times.

The hotel is in Surin Beach, which is rather close to Patong Beach, but more quiet. The beach is nice too, but if too windy a bit dangerous for swimming. Near the hotel there are some restaurants and bar, but more on the quiet side.
