Description: The house in which William Shakespeare was born offers you the possibility to find out more about the childhood of the famous writer. The exhibition explains the early years of William, who grew up here as the son of a glove-maker and lived here also for the first 5 years of his marriage. The house was owned by members of the Shakespeare family until the 19th century and has seen famous visitors such as Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens and John Keats who have left their remarks behind.
The house offers a tearoom and gift shop.Due to the age of the house access for wheelchair users is limited, the gardens and exhibition are fully accessible and there is a virtual reality tour of all rooms in the house available.
