Dating from 1596 and managed by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, this is the former home of John Harvard, the founder of Harvard University. Harvard House also acquired the Neish Pewter Collection in 1996 and has since functioned as the Museum of British Pewter which features pieces from the 16th Century . Hands-on, interactive displays for children are available. Please note that facilities for disabled patrons are limited. Harvard House is open between 12h00 and 17h00 Friday to Sunday, with the addition of Wednesdays and Thursdays during Summer. |
