We are told that the Ettington Park hotel in Stratford upon Avon is "one of the most sumptuous retreats" in the town. The hotel itself is described as a "Victorian Gothic mansion" which has a "history that spans 9 centuries", although this place only opened as a hotel in 1985. It is described as being "Like a grand private home" with "baronial fireplaces, a conservatory, and a charming staff". There are also "Adam ceilings, stone carvings, and ornate staircases" which have been "beautifully restored".
