[hannibal, 02/04/2010] The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery in Stoke-on-Trent is one of my favourite museums outside London. I drive through the city a couple of times each month and if I have a couple of hours to spare, sometimes I like to make a detour. Stoke used to be the most important city in the British pottery industry but today it's having a hard time with high unemployment and lots of dereliction caused by the closure of the potteries that made it great.
