Art and architecture is about arriving at a place outside the familiar and the ordinary. I have seen Thorngrove from the day building commenced 25 years ago, and followed its journey to international recognition for its singular and extraordinary accommodation. Hotels are usually about investment and returns and multi-national conglomerates. [guestatchariot, 04/06/2009] We were astounded whrn we came across this wonderful property, rising from behind the hedges. It was Christmas and beautfil beaded wreaths hung on each gate flickering in the sunlight.
