I hadn't seen it before and I was very excited, because I love exploring Bulgaria and the places I haven't been to are very few. The monument is called The Monument of Freedom (also known as The Shipka Monument). Its construction started in 1922 and was finished in 1930. The monument is built to pay a tribute to those who died for the freedom of Bulgaria during the battle on Shipka, which decides the outcome of the Russian-Turkish war.
