Why geese have got it wrong
In his long article on St Andrews, Ruaridh Nicoll talks about "staying in unrepentant splendour" at the Old Course hotel. Paradoxically, he then goes on to describe it as "astonishingly ugly". St. Andrews Old Course Hotel
Located on the outskirts of town this five storey hotel is the choice of "dedicated golfers" as it "overlooks the 17th fairway, the Road Hole of the Old Course".
