The haunted Inn

According to the author this Inn is haunted by the ghost of its former owner and founder who died in 1736. She and her horse are said to appear in the "oldest part" of the Inn, its "wonderful stables", although only in "the friendliest ways" as the Lathones could "charm even the most cantankerous ghost" with its "superb food", open fireplace and the "warm, Scottish welcome" you'll receive. The food is rated as "mouthwatering" and the bar offers "grappa and eau-de-vie" to sample. The rooms are comfortable and decorated in a "traditional style" and located either in the, not haunted, coach house

In this short review by Frommer's we are told how this place was once a "coaching inn" , and that "this 200-year-old manor has been thoughtfully restored ", nowadays golfers find it a good alternative for those "who can't afford the grand hotels". The bedrooms are "midsized" and are all " nicely furnished," with "individually controlled heating" and en-suite facilities. He describes how two of the "units have log-burning stoves and Jacuzzis with separate showers".
