Travel guide extract
[Fritzthecat, 25.09.2007] This hotel is described as a "godsend" within the "humming" surroundings and you are promised to be "in for a treat" if you choose it as your retreat. The "wonderful beaches" , the "fabulous St Ives" with its amenities, such as the "New Tate and Barbara Hepworth Garden" are all near by.
The hotel itself is situated in a "crisp, white-painted Edwardian townhouse" with "large windows" and just " a stone's throw from the beach". The interior is "contemporary" and features "wooden floors", "bamboo wallpaper", "modern prints and fresh flowers". The author notes that some of the rooms are rather small and only "half have great sea views", but all offer "hand-stitched mattresses" and "an unstuffy feel". He writes that the food in the restaurant is a "local, seasonal treat" and recommends retiring to the bar with "something lively from the wine list" for the "maximum oomph". Alastair Sawday rates the Primrose Valley as a "great little place".
