Please Sir, I Want Some More
The Workhouse, in the wonderful village of Southwell in Nottinghamshire, is the best surviving example of these 19th century institutions in the UK. Grim insight into daily grind of life in the workhouse
The author provides insight into the 5000+ documents dating from 1834 and 1871 finally went public just one year ago after a partnership lasting five years.
