[merkat, 31.05.2008] In this consumer's review the author, Aslemma, writes about her stay in hotel Sousse Palace. The author had emailed the hotel that she had a late flight and when she arrived she was "greeted warmly" and given a "very welcome complimentary cold drink". They offered her a room with a sea view which was, as the author says: "very nice with the most comfortable beds and pillows I've ever had in Tunisia". The bathroom was "good sized" and had a hair dryer and a "separate toilet". The room had a TV at "no extra charge" and a fridge and safe at additional cost. The balcony was "decent".

She had a half-board arrangement, and she found the food "quite reasonable", but she also says that the food in the outside snack bar was "excellent". She was content with food variety for both evening meals and breakfast, but she finds that "tea was ghastly".

Aslemma finds that all the staff was "very friendly". She describes the bar in the lobby as "dim" but with "lots of seats nicely grouped". The pool is "very nice" and looks "exactly like it does on their website ".

The author described the location convenience with attributes like "ideally situated", as it is "right on the beach" but also "very near" the town centre with the Medina and "all the shops", train and bus stations.

The only thing was not happy with was hotel's entertainment. As the conclusion she wrote that she would be "happy to stay there again but unfortunately at present the price reflects its 4 rating".
