[martanikolova, 08/01/2012] To me this is one of the most beautiful buildings we have in Sofia. And it is not just a building - it is the National theatre! Unfortunately, the plays are performed in Bulgarian, so foreigners won't be able to understand anything, but anyone who speaks Bulgarian - do go and not only see the building, but a performance too. Some of my favourite plays are "Hushove" (the English equivalent probably is something like outcasts or exile or something like this) and Santa Claus is a trash. [David, 06/01/2008] If you want to show Sofia to your friends and you like taking pictures, you must go to the Ivan Vazov theater. It is one of the best preserved buildings in Sofia. It is beautiful not only daily with its gold ornaments over dark red background, but also its beautifully lighted at night ( you can see that at the pictures).
