[martanikolova, 10/02/2012] This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Sofia. I was there at a small wedding reception and I had a great time.
The interior is very nice with interesting details that make the place really special. There are lovely paintings inside and even a talking parrot (amazing detail). The entire atmosphere is very welcoming and the music they play there is very nice, too.
Service is excellent, the staff is polite and very careful.
What is best about this place is the amazing food. I just love what they offer, especially the paella with seafood - amazing. I don't usually eat seafood,

[martanikolova, 10/02/2012] Very sweet place. I really liked the interior - small and cozy, perfect for a nice lunch / dinner. The food is very delicious, there is also a very nice lunch menu (different every day). Service is good, too. I am very pleased with everything about this restaurant.
It is located in the central part of Sofia and you can easily reach it by foot or by public transport (like trolley bus No. 9, for example).
[martanikolova, 23/01/2012] I had great expectations about this place. I know how famous Starbucks is all over the world and when I heard they were coming to Bulgaria, I was very exited. I couldn't wait to try their famous coffee (the best in the world, as they say). So, as soon as they opened its doors I was there. First of all, you should know I am a huge fan of coffee. I can't imagine my days without this precious drink. My morning coffee has become kind of a ritual for me.
So, the day came when I was able to try the famous Starbucks. I always drink my coffee with milk, so I decided to try the Latte. I have to say,

[martanikolova, 23/01/2012] I have been there only once a few years ago and even though I had a good time, this place is not really my type. That is why I never went there again. The music is not one of my favourites - a bit harder for my taste, but many people seem to enjoy it. So if you like hard rock and alternative music - you might like it.
The interior offers some interesting details (the translation of the club's name in English would be The construction sight or something like this) so you will see inside some highlights reminding actual constructions works. But as a whole I don't like the interior too much.

[martanikolova, 22/01/2012] The building of the Central Military Club (Centralen Voenen Club in Bulgarian) is located on the corner of bul. Tsar Osvoboditel and ul. G.S. Rakovski. This place used to be the host of theatre plays and operas in the past. Its concert room can seat up to 450 people. Nowadays it still hosts lots of events and I was even able to attend one recently (it was a wine tasting event) and I really enjoyed it. I was able to try some fantastic wines indeed. The interior looks old-fashioned but grand at the same moment. The exterior of the building can also attract the attention, but you can see that the

The food is interesting and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The interior is in warm colours and the inside area is light and cosy. Food was delicious, although one of the meals I ordered was not exactly my cup of tea, but everything else was very good. I am not sure everything on the menu is typically Armenian, I think some of the meals are international, actually.
The location of the restaurant is very convenient, it is centrally locat

[martanikolova, 22/01/2012] Georgi S. Rakovski isa very long central street in Sofia. It starts from ul. Kozlodui and it goes all the way to bul. Evlogi i Hristo Georgievi. It crosses some other big streets and boulevards like bul. Vasil Levski, bul. Patriarch Evtimii, bul. Tsar Osvoboditel, bul. Dondukov, bul. Slivnica, etc. You can see so many things while walking along this street - the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Central Military Club, several theatres such as 199 Theatre, Sulza i smiah theatre (which can be translated as Tear and Laughter Theatre), Bulgarska Armia (which can be translated as Bulgarian Army Theat

[martanikolova, 22/01/2012] I really don't think this trade centre is so good. Its location is probably convenient for those living in the neighbourhood, but for the rest of the people and especially tourists visiting Sofia, I don't think it is worth seeing actually. I have been there only once when I was in the neighbourhood and I didn't see any shops that could interest me. It looks really small compared to the other big trade centres and malls in Sofia. And, as I mentioned, its location is not so good - it is situated in Lyulin and you will have to travel far from the centre of Sofia in order to reach it. But if you a

[martanikolova, 22/01/2012] I have been ice skating there a couple of times. I really enjoyed it, I had lots of fun. Prices are similar as the other skating rinks in Sofia. But the entire winter palace is not properly maintained. The building as a whole looks old (and it is old) and it needs a bit of reconstruction. The yard is neglected and the whole scenery is not very pleasant. The skating rink is ok, though. If you have your own skates, you can pay only the entry ticket. If not - you can rent skates there.
The winter palace of sports is located in Studentski grad, Sofia. You can reach it by bus No. 94, 280 and 294 (

[martanikolova, 21/01/2012] This is one of the three restaurants of Olive's chain in Sofia. Its location is very good - in the central part of Sofia and you can reach it easily by car or by public transport. Trams No. 10, 12 and 18 will take you there. If you don't mind walking, then you can also take the metro or tram No. 5, 20 or 22 and walk a few minutes to reach it. There are a few mini bus route lines passing nearby.
The interior is nice, the place is big and can welcome a lot of people. The restaurant is on different levels and there are some interesting details you can enjoy like some of the postings on the wall

[martanikolova, 21/01/2012] Planet Club (La dolce vita) is one of the most popular clubs in Sofia. You can see there from ordinary people to world famous stars. It is the preferred place for the Bulgarian popular faces as well.
The exterior can grab your attention especially during the warm seasons. It has a nice outdoor area with high and low tables and chairs, some plants and a few interesting details (like the sand below the glass of some tables). It has a large sign with the name of the club, so you won't miss it for sure. The other interesting part about the exterior is the amount of luxury cars parked outside, es

[martanikolova, 21/01/2012] This is one of the most popular meeting places in Sofia. Everyone knows it as "Popa" (the Priest). It has been a famous spot for years and probably everyone living in Sofia has arranged a meeting there once or twice (or more).
The location is perfect since it is a central part of the city, close to many bus, trolley bus and tram stations, it is very easy to reach by public transport. It is a bit harder to reach by car due to possible parking problems, but you might be able to find a free parking place somewhere in the blue zone are on surrounding streets. The public transport you can use is

[martanikolova, 19/01/2012] I really love this restaurant! The atmosphere there is very special and I kind of feel at home there. The place has a lovely garden with tables spread around the different zones - you can see some tables on a small terrace or in the front area and even a few tables outside on the pavement. This part of the neighbourhood is very quiet and you can enjoy there a very peaceful and relaxing lunch or dinner. The interior in the inside area is cosy and original. The chairs there (inside) are exactly 33 (well, the name of the restaurant implies it). You can see walls painted by hand and some other lo

[martanikolova, 19/01/2012] I have been at this restaurant a couple of time. The first time I had lunch in the outside area, the second time I was at a party with my colleagues. Both times it was very good.
The restaurant has an inside area with different halls and an outside area with tables on the pavement. The interior is welcoming and cosy and the atmosphere as a whole is nice. Service is good and prices are very reasonable.
The menu is very diverse and includes a choice of salads, soups, warm starters, pasta, specialities, grill, fish and seafood, nuts and some desserts. If you pre-order a day in advance you can

[martanikolova, 19/01/2012] This pizza restaurant is very good. This is probably the best pizza place in the area and enjoys lots of clients. I have been there many times (I live close by).
During the years it has been reconstructed several times (they added more space to it). Currently, there are several halls there. When you enter you have an area with tables to the left and another area to the right. In the front you go outside where you can sit at some of the few tables or the bar with stools. There is a very nice pond there with turtles, this is why I like this area the most. It is really nice to sit there and eat

[martanikolova, 18/01/2012] I like this place a lot, especially the terraces where you can sit at a bar on the edge and watch over the street while eating or having a drink. There is a lovely garden as well, which is also very nice. The interior is modern, with different saloons on several different floors. I have tried many of the choices in the menu - I've tried the pizza, I have tried a few salads, I have also tried some of the starters as well (like the chicken fillets with sesame - I liked them). I basically prefer the pizza, after all it it a pizza restaurant ans they make good pizzas.
Location is pretty good, cl

[martanikolova, 18/01/2012] The yellow pavement, the surrounding tourist attractions, the central location - this is why you should visit this square. There is a lot you can see around - the building of the National assembly, Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Tsar Osvoboditel monument, etc. It is easy to reach by car or by public transport. If you choose a car, you can park in the blue zone area (1 BGN for an hour). If you choose public transport - you can take the metro, bus No. 9, 280, 84, 94, 306, trolley bus 1, 2, 4 and 11. You will have to walk only a few minutes after you get off at the station to reach the square.
[martanikolova, 18/01/2012] This is my second favourite cinema in Sofia. It is relatively new with spacious seats and several theatres. There is a nice restaurant in there and a fast food area. And let's not forget the popcorn which is obligatory for watching a movie! They play regular movies there and 3D movies as well. It is piratically part of the business park in Mladost, which makes it easy to reach by public transport - bus No. 413 stops right next to it. There a few other a little bit more distant bus stops around. There is a large parking area in the back and in the front of he cinema, which is free.
[martanikolova, 18/01/2012] This place has lost some of its popularity during the past few years. A while ago, it was one of the best places of its kind and you could hardly get a table there. Now it still good, but it is definitely not what it used to be. It is bigger now, tough, they added some space recently. It is located in one of the mountain neighbourhoods of Sofia - Simeonovo. The best way to go there is by car, it would be difficult to reach it by public transport, because you will have to walk up a very steep street. There is a parking next to the house, but it usually can't hold all of the cars and you will ha
