If you have to go to work early in the morning, you know the importance of being there on time. And not spending your entire morning travelling and waiting in traffic jams.
Here is where the new modern Underground comes handy for all the citizens and guests of Sofia.
With more that 2 million people living in Sofia nowadays, the underground takes up to 100 000 travellers every day. It is yet only travelling between the city center and Obelya, going through all the western living quarters of the city. Now they are constructing even more underground stations that will totally connect the city center to all the living quarters. People will no longer spend ther mornings in traffic jams.
The underground stations are now 8--
Serdica that comes on Saint Nedelya square and leads to other transportation, or directly to your working place in downtown Sofia
Opulchenska that leads you to Mall of Sofia or to other convinient trasnportation and
Konstantin Velichkov, Vardar, Zapaden Park, Lyulin, Slivnitsa and Obelya. Slivnitsa underground station is also very important, as it helps people from cities close to Sofia to get to their working place in Sofia in no town. Those cities will be Bozhurishte and Bankya.
I enjoy my everyday travell with the METRO. I do not have to get up 3 hours in advance in order to get to my working place. I enter the underground station, which is always warm in the winter and cool enough during summer. There are always advertiements, brochures and two newspapers that I can read. The music is always nice and calm. There are plently of places to sit while waiting for your train.
And the trains come fast in a a timely manner. They are always sharp. There is nothing else to stay in their way.
The travel itseld is always pleasant and fast. The trains are well ventilated and very safe. You can never be worried about your travel.
I recommend everyone to try experiencing a magnificent travel.
