, 18/01/2012] Lake Iskar is a big lake and it is the place where the drinking water in Sofia comes from. The lake is very peaceful and with beautiful surroundings. Since it is very big, you can see many things on its shores - from restaurants, villas, places for picnics, forests, etc. Its closeness to Sofia attracts many visitors. Many people go there fishing (I think there is a certain fishing season thought, I am not sure if you can go fishing there whenever you like). I have a favourite spot on this lake.
