[martanikolova, 11/01/2012] The National Art Galley is located in the central part of Sofia, very easy to reach and close to many other places of interest. You can reach it by car (there is a blue zone area outside where you can park, its costs 1 BGN per hour), by trolley bus No. 9 and then a little walk, by tram No 20 and 22 and then a little walk or by route mini bus lines. The gallery is open every day except Mondays from 10:00 to 18:00. It is the biggest gallery in the country and the regular entry price is 6 BGN (about 3 Euro). [David, 13/08/2008] The building its self has a great history. It had been konak - Turkish police, after the liberation it become the Kings palace and after the communist era, nowadays its an art gallery, where you can see Bulgarian and world wide arts as well travel exhibition such as National Geographic , which I enjoyed most. As I am not great art admirer I cant give my opinion about the arts and how valuable they are, but If you like it and have 30 minutes free, I advice you to visit the gallery. Passing by it, check the posters at the entrance, if there is travel exhibition showing at the moment. Enjoy !
