[martanikolova, 08/01/2012] It is impossible to miss this place, since it is in the heart of Sofia - right in the centre. It is one of the most preferred places for marriage and almost every weekend (especially during the spring and the summer) you can see newlyweds there. It is a very old cathedral with an interesting history and unknown origins. It is believed it was built in the X century like many other Bulgarian cathedral with stone foundations and wood construction, but this was never confirmed. [Ani, 09/01/2008] The church Saint Nedelia, is front of Sheraton hotel and trams and tube line have stops there. It is a very popular church for weddings. If you like to see the East orthodox wedding ceremony you can visit the church on Saturday or Sunday better in the morning, when you can see at least few weddings. I don't think the newly-married couple would mind if you enjoy their ceremony. The doors usually are open except when very famous couple get married.
