Description: Bishop's House was built around 1500 and is the best preserved example of a timber framed house in the City of Sheffield. It is located in Meersbrook Park, just outside the City Centre in a popular residential area, so it is served by excellent transport links.
The house retains many of its original features and looks exactly as it would have looked during the 17th century. It is completely free to visit and has been a Museum since 1976.
The opening hours are:
Saturday 10am - 4.30pm
Sunday 11am - 4.30pm
The House is closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
