The hotel is centrally situated: "directly in Schwerin's historic core". The appearance, after a complete rebuilding and renovation in 1980, is traditional "with touches of old-fashioned German styling", especially in the public areas. The interior is decorated in a more modern and streamlined style and bedrooms are "colorful and cozy", completed "with pinewood furniture", though "somewhat cramped". Room Amenities include a TV and safe. All the bathrooms have a shower or tub/shower combination, coming in various configurations. The hotel has a good restaurant: "Much of the creative energy of this place derives from it". Guests can try "simple, straightforward platters", "best examples" of German cuisine, and "a house specialty" as well.
