, 10/12/2009] My interest in this object was purely because of the famous neighbor castle Neuschwansteigen. It would be stupid from my side not to visit it being near by! However, after visiting two castles, I changed my preferences to Hohenschwangau. H I S T O R Y Schloß Hohenschwangau or Hohenschwangau Castle was the residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria and was built by his father, Maximillian II of Bavaria.
