The local area has many bars and restaurants within walking distance as well as many of Scarborough's attractions these include Peasholm Park with its boating lake and bridge walk, the quieter North Bay Beach, Sealife centre at Scalby Mills which can be reached using the miniature railway. Local buses can take you into the centre of Scarborough with its café's, bars, restaurants and shops. The Busier South Bay Beach is located there, with its amusements, Scarborough Spa and Futurist Theatre. Further afield is the North Yorkshire Moors ideal for walkers and Whitby with its 7th Century Abbey which featured in Bram Stoker's book Dracula.
