[Marie98, 11/11/2011] We Knew nothing about Wechselburg and had chosen to stay simply because of it's proximity to Colditz Castle. We were given a very warm welcome by Frau Wald. Our room was pleasant and comfortable with a lovely view. We enjoyed a walk into the town which boasts a castle which is now a Benedictine Monastery as well as a lovely old Lutheran Church. We ate in the dining room where Herr Wald was the chef. It was an excellent meal in a very happy atmosphere as there were several local groups enjoying celebrations.
