During prohibition, the Art Deco hotel housed a popular speakeasy and is now rumored to be haunted by certain unearthly guests. The hotel is opposite Palisades Park, across the street from Santa Monica Beach and two blocks from the famed Santa Monica Pier. The oceanfront dining venue, De Veranda, prepares California style cuisine during breakfast and lunch hours..
