[ChocolateLady, 26/07/2008] This hotel is very near to two shopping centres, one of which is the Village Walk and the Sandton City, and is a surprisingly safe walking distance from there. A very pleasant place, that is clean, nicely decorated but isn't terribly fancy. The building is built literally around a courtyard - which you have to walk across to go between the main buildings and the rooms. The staff is mostly very good, with a couple of niggles (detailed later). The rooms are BIG and the breakfast was great.

[egtommy23, 06/05/2008] Hotel has recently been refurbished and looks like the job was done on the cheap.
The rooms, although spacious, are finished off badly. I snagged clothing twice on a rough jagged doorframe and the shower door allowed water to run all over the bathroom floor. Room Service was horribly slow due to a serious shortage of staff (according to our waiter) and the food we waited so long for was really awful and overpriced. The room was sweviced resonably well, but there were either missing pillow cases, towels or duvet cover...(depending on the day) Each time we called the Housekeeping department, we
