[altamoda, 12/02/2011] The hotel is a business hotel. Do not expect too much. It is quite ok for a clean bed and a normal breakfast buffet. Rooms are clean and coffee is ok.
[koshkha, 04/08/2010] I was in San Sebastian with a colleague, his wife and their baby. We were trying to find our way back from Portugal when Europe ground to a halt after the volcano erupted. We didn't know the city at all so we strolled around in search of anything that looked like a restaurant and eventually found an advertising board on the street corner advertising the Bidarte. They offered a 12€ three course deal and we could understand at least half the items on the menu. We hunted around to find the entrance down a side alley, stepped down a few stairs and into a small subterranean restaurant.

[koshkha, 11/06/2010] When I set off on a three night business trip to our factory near Oporto last month, the last thing on my mind was the possible need to have a hotel in San Sebastian a week later. Such are the strange things that come about in the name of unpronounceable Icelandic volcanoes! After four days of twiddling my thumbs in Portugal waiting for the ash to clear, something had to be done. My colleague, his wife and two year old son, and I could wait no longer. [wecsil, 04/12/2009] Small, clean, comfortable, great location (on the waterfront, within walking distance from the train station, just across the bridge from the town centre), wi-fi in the room. Nice little touches: a small safe in the room, free bottled water in the lobby. Helpful and friendly staff. Simple breakfast.
[hypernaut, 16/11/2009] great pension / hostel in the heart of San Sebastian. Short walk to the beaches, surfing the convention center and all sightseeing. The restaurants and bars are right around the corner from Pension Goiko.
I liked the rooms, the cleanliness and especially the staff. The staff are a mix of local people and foreigners. They gave me really good inside tips on where to go and where to eat.
[bkecky, 07/07/2007] The hotel itself is charming but the staff service let it down a little and we weren't exactly welcomed with open arms. The restaurant was quite awful but the thing that makes this hotel is the location and views. Everything is in close proximity to this hotel and the beach is across the road. One of the highlights was seeing freddy Kruger in the hotel lobby because the film festival was on. This hotel is great if you're older and spanish or you can speak spanish but otherwise its best avoided unless you're willing to make your own entertainment.
