Location. Residing in the Nob Hill area, the Renaissance Stanford Court Hotel of San Francisco, Calif., is two blocks from the Grace Cathedral and four blocks from Union Square. The Transamerica Pyramid and Chinatown are both one half mile from this hotel. Coit Tower is one mile away. The hotel provides complimentary weekday transportation to and from the Financial District just one half mile away.
Hotel Features. A 19th century lobby welcomes guests to this hotel, displaying a Victorian stained glass dome ceiling, Beaux Arts fountain and surrounding murals representing civic history. The marbled lobby winds into Fournou's Ovens, the on site Mediterranean restaurant boasting an exhibition kitchen and a cellar stocked with 5,000 vintage wines from around the world. The neighboring lobby lounge mixes afternoon tea times, cocktails and original artwork. The lobby also houses a business center with high speed wired and wireless Internet access. Recreational amenities include a fitness center with cardiovascular equipment.

Our award winning four star Fournou's Ovens features a Mediterranean ambience, seasonal menu and world-class wine cellar with over five thousand bottles. Five separate private dining rooms can accommodate ten to thirty-five people. In our beautiful Pavilion, diners enjoy breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch in an open Mediterranean-style garden setting with a wonderful view of the cable cars climbing Nob Hill. In-room dining is available twenty-four hours. The hotel features two main ballrooms on one level separated by a spacious pre-function area highlighted by a majestic marble staircase descending from the lobby. Our Stanford Ballroom is lit by two Baccarat crystal chandeliers from the Grand Hotel in Paris while the smaller India Suite, named for the opulent reception room in the old Stanford mansion, is adorned with eighteenth century murals.
