It is a real dilema when trying to rate this hotel. The view will stay with me forever but the rest of the experience did not match up.

The room is one of the most memorable I have ever had. The views (see photos) are simply stunning. Wow. The room was also a good size with a sofa in it...nice. Otherwise it was pretty standard and rather dreary posh hotel stuff. It has not been modernised in a while. However, I was happy!

The Lobby is a bit dreary and dark on the Ground floor of this unremarkable building. So get the image of the New York Mandarin Hotel out of your mind before you visit here!
The breakfast/ dining room on the first floor (above ground) has a reasonable traditionally stiff atmosphere with a little fun gravitas given the building but is nothing special.
