, 09/11/2011] The San Agustin Beach Club is one of the first hotels to be built in the south of Gran Canaria and one of the few to be right on the beach. It is designed to have the look and feel of a cruise ship with brass handrails and dark wood panelling. This is not always successful. Staying at the San Agustin Beach Club gives you the impression that you have stepped back in time to the 1970s. There is no Wi-Fi anywhere but you still get writing paper in the rooms. Overall the decor is a little dark and gloomy. Some people, sick of pastel colours and bland design, will find it all a refreshing change.
