Description: Salisbury Cathedral was built in the 13th Century and has the highest spire in the UK at 123m. It received more than half a million visitors every year. It houses one of only four original copies of the Magna Carta, as well as the oldest working clock in Europe. The cathedal is set in extensive grounds within a walled 'Close' or town within the city. Country Life Magazine voted Salisbury Cathedral as the 'Best View in Britain' in 2002. The cathedral is open from 7.15 am to 6.15 pm.
