Originally a Franciscan convent built in 1587, this magnificent hotel overlooks the heart of the Chianti wine region and is only a few kilometers away from the medieval city of San Giminiano. The origins of La Collegiata go back to the 16th century when the inhabitants decided to build a monastery dedicated to the Cappuccini monks who had helped the population to survive difficult times.
