Hotels Pigadi Rethymnon
Located in the old town below the Castle Forteza, The Pigadi restaurant is also named The Well restaurant and uses a 16th Century Enetikou stone house as its premises. Traditional cuisine from Greece and Crete are prepared using local produce of fish, meat, vegetables and salad all cooked or dressed in Cretan olive oil. The food is served to your table in the court yard which has a well and plants along its stone walls. It is open from 10am to 3pm and 6pm until late in the evening.

Hotels Cretan Wine Festival Rethymnon
The Municipal Garden of Rethymno is the venue for the annual Cretan Wine Festival which is presented each July and serves as an introduction to local wines which are provided for free. Festivities include traditional Greek and Cretan music, folklore and dancing.

The Rock Cafe Club offers 2 bars with a rock music theme and a dance floor. It is located in the Old Town at the entrance to the Venetian Port and features DJs who spin Pop, R&B and Rock music.

Owned by Vasilis Parasyrakis and located next to the harbour with views of the Enetiko port and lighthouse the Cavo Doro can seat up to 240 diners. International and Greek cuisine is served beside the water al fresco or in the air conditioned restaurant. Local produce is used in the fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, cooked in olive oil from Crete. Live entertainment is provided Friday, Saturday and Sundays Open all year from 12pm until late.

Hotels Carnival of Rethymno Rethymnon
This three-week carnival is held annually in February/March and includes a street party on Shrove Thursday. Festivities commence with treasure hunts and there are various art, musical and theatrical events as well as fancy-dress balls and, off course, floats. Surrounding villages also participate and for 2009 the Grand Parade, which is always preceded by the Night Parade, would take place on March 18th.

Hotels FortezzaClub Rethymnon
FortezzaClub is located in a stone building in the Venetian Port and is one of the oldest clubs in Crete. The building served as a boat-yard and woodshed before being converted into a club in 1985 and focuses predominantly on Greek music. Appearances by guest DJs are usually scheduled for Tuesdays and details are available at the website.
