| Description: |
This three-week carnival is held annually in February/March and includes a street party on Shrove Thursday. Festivities commence with treasure hunts and there are various art, musical and theatrical events as well as fancy-dress balls and, off course, floats. Surrounding villages also participate and for 2009 the Grand Parade, which is always preceded by the Night Parade, would take place on March 18th. |
