Descriptions Hotel Le Palais

Come to Prague and experience one of the most beautiful examples of Belle Époque architecture in Central Europe. Together with the Hotel Savoy and the Hotel Palace, the new Hotel Le Palais is now the third luxury hotel which is operated by Vienna International Hotels & Resorts in Prague. Constructed in 1841 the original residential building was completely redesigned in the Belle Époque style between 1888 and 1897. Something deliberately 'different and of greater beauty' was to be created which would differ greatly from the imitated historicism of the art and architecture of the 19th century. Characteristic of that period and its style is the rebirth of a zest for life, of optimism and confidence - a 'new renaissance'. Ludek Marold (1865 - 1898) is one of the best-known Bohemian painters. He was not only responsible for the artistic design of the building, he also lived on the top floor until 1898. His most famous work, the remarkable panorama 'The Battle of Lipany', can also be seen in Prague in Petrin Labyrinth. The historically accurate restoration of the original structure and the gentle weave of modern elements generate an unequalled ambience. Large parts of the building were created by the Bohemian painter Ludek Marold and are therefore classified as historical monuments. The elegant and graceful lightness of the Prague Belle Époque style lends a unique atmosphere to the rooms and suites of the Hotel Le Palais and will make your stay a very special experience. The hotel is a real treasure for sophisticated business and leisure travellers, for them to enjoy this delightful gem of 19th century architecture with its peaceful yet central location and to discover Prague at its best. Take in the view over the Nusle Valley from the peaceful open terrace. Enjoy the finest, deliciously tempting dishes and the best service, together with beautiful views of Prague. Breakfast served on the open air terrace is an enjoyable way to start your day. The relax and wellness center is one of the best equipped centers in Prague. Hotel guests are free to use sauna, whirlpool, fitness center, aroma showers, steam bath, solarium, hydrojet. There is fully equipped gym for those wishing to work out while the aroma showers, with their lemon and eucalyptus fragrances, and whirlpool are a perfect way to relax after a long day.

Location. Set in an ornate Belle Epoque building, Le Palais Hotel is in the fashionable Vinohrady district of Prague, Czech Republic. The late 19th century hotel is one and a half kilometres from the National Museum, Vysehrad and Wenceslas Square. Prague Ruzyne Airport (PRG) is 12 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. A wrought iron doorway leads into the softly lit marble lobby, reflecting the hotel's turn of the century character with original mosaic floors and elaborate ceiling frescoes.

Le Palais Hotel has a business centre and meeting rooms for small groups. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to city center.
A marble staircase winds down to the health club with a mosaic tiled aromatherapy showers spraying menthol or lemon scented water. There is a fitness room with treadmills and step machines, sauna and steam room.
Guestrooms. Le Palais Hotel's 72 Belle Epoque style guestrooms are decorated in warm yellows with rich red fabrics. Overlooking either the Nusle Valley or turn of the century mansions, the soundproofed rooms feature air conditioning, high speed Internet connections (surcharge), refrigerators, satellite television, DVD players, minibars and safes.
Expert Tip. In the 1890s, Bohemian painter Ludek Marold lived in an apartment at Prague's Le Palais. His work includes the flower motif staircase and ceilings frescoes of swallows in flight.
